Gomez played in 16 matches and made four starts as a freshman at North Texas in 2018. She had one assist and one shot on goal.
Gomez played for one of the best Elite Club National League teams for her age group, Solar Chelsea U18 and won back-to-back Dallas International Cup Championships. She was a three-time state champion in the 4x100 relay and was awarded academic all-state in 2017 and 2018.
