Sam Houston women ranked 37th in Golf Week national poll

After winning the championship at their first tournament of the year and placing sixth in their second, the Sam Houston State women's golf team has earned a ranking of No. 37 in the Golf Week NCAA Division I women's poll.
The No. 37 national ranking is the highest achieved by the Sam Houston State women's golf program.
Sam Houston State is the defending Southland Conference women's golf champion.
Junior Stefani Page, who won the individual championship at last year's Southland Conference tournament, was the runner-up in the individual competition at the North Texas Mean Green Classic won by the Bearkats on Sept. 10-11 in Denton.
Senior Jennifer Heinz was the individual runner-up at the Louisiana-Monroe tournament this week in which the Bearkats placed sixth. Page did not play for the Kats in the event as she was playing in an LPGA qualifying event.
