Landa Stewart leads women's golfers at Texas Tech

Lubbock, TX -- Landa Stewart led Sam Houston State with a 20th place individual finish as the Bearkat women's golf team placed 13th as a team in the Texas Tech McHaney Moreland Invitational Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 6-7) at the Rawls Golf Course.
Arkansas-Little Rock won the team championship with a 54-hole total of 303-308-297--908. Sara Wikstrom of UALR was the tournament individual medalist with a 73-68-71--212 score.
Stewart carded a 78-78-78--234 score to pace the Bearkats. Other Sam Houston State finishes were Wendy Joyner (85-79-78--242) 49th, Amanda Garmona (87-80-79--246) 59th, Kirsten Splitter (86-78-89--253) 67th and Katelyn Jones (85-90-84--259) 71st.
