Beau Willis, Brandon Frankhouser Academic All-SLC

Beau Willis and Brandon Frankhouser of Sam Houston State both have been recognized as first team members of the 2008 Academic All-Southland Conference men's golf team.
Willis, a sophomore from Weatherford, Texas, boasts a perfect 4.0 in Finance. On the links, he had two top ten finishes in 23 rounds, boasting a 75.86 average. Missing the 2008 SLC Championships due to illness, he was the men's golf Freshman of the Year in 2006-07.
Frankhouser, a senior, finished 24th at the SLC Championships, helping SHSU to a first runner-up finish, the highest finish for the Bearkats since 1996. Maintaining a 3.07 GPA in Marketing, the Conroe, Ark., native shot a 74.31 average and had two top ten finishes.
