Sam Houston State's men golfers placed ninth in the All-American Invitational hosted by the University of Houston Tuesday.

Beau Willis led the team with a third place individual finish. Willis shot a 54-hole total of 76-68-71?226.

Southeastern Louisiana won the All-America Invitational team title with a 10-over-par total of 874. Middle Tennessee was the runner-up at 875. Louisiana-Lafayette was third with an 883, followed by New Mexico State 888, Houston 893, Cal St.-Northridge 897, Texas St.-San Marcos 898, North Texas 903, Sam Houston 904, Arkansas-Little Rock 917, Louisiana Tech 920, Jacksonville St. 928 and Texas Southern 947.

Kent Bulle of Middle Tennessee won the individual medalist tital with a seven-under score of 67-69-73?209. Other Sam Houston finishes were Fergal Rafferty 24th 226, Scott Kelly 40th 230, John Hurley 50th 234 and Casey Nelson 68th 246.
