Women's golf third at Claud Jacobs Invt.

Led by Shelby Hardy and Landa Stewart who both tied for fifth place individually with scores of 229, the Sam Houston State women's golf team posted another top performance by finishing third in the Claud Jacobs Invitational hosted Sunday and Monday by Texas State University.
Texas State won the team title with a 913 total. Oklahoma was the runner-up at 916, followed by Sam Houstons 938, Akron 941, Arkansas State 951 and Lamar 952. A total of 16 teams competed in the event.
Kristen Hill of Akron was the individual medalist winner at 223. Six strokes back, Hardy fired a 75-79-75-229 and Stewart carded a 74-73-82-229 total. Other Sam Houston finishes included Kirsten Spittler 28th 84-77-79-240, Meghan Musk 81-78-82-241 and Jessica Borth 66th 86-86-81-253.
