Sports memorabilia highlights football auction

The 22nd annual Bearkat Football Dinner & Auction will be paradise for a collecter of exciting sports memorabilia.
The affair, which will be held Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Veterans Conference Center features exciting items that include framed autographed photographs of such sports legends as Muhammad Ali, Mickey Mantle, Bobby Layne, Jerry Rice, Warren Moon, Frank Howard, Joe DiMaggio, Reggie Bush and others.
Doors will open and bidding on items in the silent auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. Dinner and the live auction will follow at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the event are $50 per person, $75 per couple and $300 for a table of eight. Tickets may be ordered by contacting the Sam Houston State athletic department at (936) 294-4205.
Profession and college football team uniform shirts, Bearkat sports apparel, hunting and golfing outings and other exciting items will be up for bid as well.
The auction and dinner precedes the Sam Houston Orange and White game which will kick off at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 24.
