Scott Kelly, Fergal Rafferty named All-SLC Golf

Rafferty placed third individually at the 2010 league championship tournament in Springfield, La. Kelly placed 17th. Rafferty is a senior from Carrickmore, Omagh, Northern Ireland. Kelly is a junior from Kingwood, Texas.
The pair were named co-Most Valuable Players for the Bearkats at the annual All-Sports Banquet on April 26.
Kelly led Sam Houston in stroke average this season with a 73.0 average, the second highest single season scoring mean in school history. He won individual medalist honors at the Sam Houston Elkins Lake Fall Classic and posted top 10 individual finishes in seven of the 11 tournaments in which the Bearkats participated this season.
Rafferty produced a 73.3 stroke average this season, the fifth best ever at Sam Houston. He placed among the top 10 in five tournaments this season.
Alvaro Arizabaleta of Southeastern Louisiana was named Southland Conference men's golfer of the year.
