The Sam Houston women's tennis team defeated Lee College, the No. 2-ranked juco women's team in the nation, 6-1 in an exhibition dual match Friday at the McAdams Tennis Center.
The Bearkats took the doubles point and won matches at number one, three, four, five and six singles.
"Lee is very strong at the top of their line-up and this was a good gut-check for the team," Sam Houston head coach Jim Giachino said. "Sometimes I forget how young this team is. They showed they were competitors today. This is a good confidence builder for the girls."
