Sam Houston won the doubles point, but Stephen F. Austin bounced back to sweep all six singles matches to hand the Bearkat women a 6-1 tennis dual match loss Saturday afternoon at the McAdams Tennis Center.  

The victory was the first for Stephen F. Austin over Sam Houston in women's tennis since 2001.   The loss drops Sam Houston to 6-4 for the year and 3-2 in Southland Conference play. SFA upped its record to 12-1 for the season and 4-1 in league action. The Lumberjacks are tied for third place in the conference race.  

Next action for Sam Houston are home matches with Southland Conference leader UT-Arlington on Saturday, April 2 and an encounter with Texas State on Sunday, April 3. First serve for both matches is 11 a.m.
