Sam Houston eighth at Border Olympics

Led by Albert Miner, who finished 23rd in the individual medalist standings, the Sam Houston men's golf team finished in eighth place at the Border Olympics Classic in Laredo.
Sam Houston produced a two-day, 54-hole team total of 302-302-286-890.
Miner shot 76-74-72-222. Logan Boatner (78-75-71-224) and Chase Chapman (76-77-71-224) tied for 33rd in the individual standings. Justin McKay (72-76-79-227) placed 46th and J. T. Taylor (81-84-72-237) was 69th.
Houston won the team title with a score of 859. Oklahoma was the runner-up at 867 followed by Central Arkansas 869, Lamar 876, Baylor 878, Texas-San Antonio 880, Texas State 885 and Sam Houston 890.
Stephen F. Austin placed ninth with an 894 total followed by Washington State 897, Rice 900, Texas-Arlington 904, Northern Colorado 919 and McNeese State 927.
