Kimi Davidson and Michelle Secours of Sam Houston State have been named to the 2013 National Ten Pins Coaches Association women's bowling All-America squad.
Davidson, a junior from Azle, Texas, is a second team member. Secours, a senior from Brockport, NY, was named as an honorable mention selection.
The pair's All-America awards were announced Wednesday night at the 2013 NCAA Championship Banquet in Canton, Michigan.
Davidson and Secours and the rest of Sam Houston's No. 6 ranked bowling team begin play in the NCAA Elite Eight Thursday.
The pair's selection Wednesday night marks the fourth and fifth time Sam Houston bowlers have received All-America honors during the three-year history of the program. Dayna Galganski earned All-America honors in both 2010 and 2011. Secours also received All-America honors as a junior in 2011.
Davidson enters the NCAA Elite Eight competition with a NCAA total pins average of 206.8. She was named to five all-tournament teams during the 2012-13 regular season and was selected as the tournament “Most Valuable Bowler” in three events.
Secours sports an NCAA bowling total pins average of 199.5. She was selected to the all-tournament squad at the Music City Classic.
