Homecoming Weekend Exhibition Sunday

Sam Houston's NCAA national championship bowling will hold a special homecoming exhibition Sunday at 12 noon at the Huntsville Lanes.
The Bearkats defeated defending national champion Nebraska in the NCAA finals in Cleveland last April to bring home the university's first NCAA Division I national title. Returning all but two players from the championship team, the SHSU bowlers are ranked No. 3 in the 2014-15 preseason poll.
Sam Houston will start the season the weekend of Friday through Sunday October 17-19 when the Bearkats compete at the Tulane Invitational in New Orleans.
Anna Groce, Erin Brown, Janine Kuwahara and Becca Pittser all return from last year's squad. New players joining the team are Carrie Hopkinson, Heather Penatzer, Emily Notebart and Stephanie Zavala.
Sunday the Kats will play three exhibitions against club teams from area universities.
