The championship is being held on the par 72, 7,346-yard Pete Dye Signature Course for the third year in a row.
Sam Houston is one of five conference teams that have claimed tournament team titles this season.
The Bearkats' junior Zach Cabra won the Jim Colbert Intercollegiate hosted by Kansas State and the Harold Funston Classic hosted by Sam Houston last October.
Cabra, who has a league-low round of 62, is third in the conference in stroke average with 72.22 strokes per round and has claimed two individual medalist honors this season.
Cabra won the Jim Colbert Intercollegiate and the Harold Funston. Cabra was named the league's golfer of the month for September.
Senior Albert Miner, who tied for ninth in last year's championship, also returns to the Bearkats. Miner averages 73.03 strokes in 32 rounds with a low round of 67. Miner, who was named golfer of the month for April, won the Arkansas-Little Rock/First Tee Classic, March 24-25.
Southeastern Louisiana will be trying to defend last year's title, which was its fourth overall Southland championship and first since the 2010 season. If the Lions win, they was become the first Southland champion to repeat since Lamar did so from 2006-09.
Southeastern Louisiana is the top-rated Southland team according to the Golfstat rankings.
As the top three seeds, Southeastern, Lamar and UCA will play together in Monday's opening round with approximate tee times from 8:40 through 9:12 a.m.
The conference tournament is slated to tee off Monday at 8 a.m. Pairings are based on team seeding, which is calculated using the Golfstat rankings. Players will play 18 holes of golf Monday and Tuesday before playing the final round of 18 holes Wednesday.
