Women second after two rounds at ORU

TULSA, Okla. -- The Bearkat women's golf team is in second place after the first two rounds of the ORU Shootout at Meadowbrook Country Club. Sam Houston is two strokes back of Oral Roberts going into Tuesday's final round.
Sophomore Paige Nelson is one-over par in second place but currently sits five strokes back of ORU's Alejandra Acosta. Nelson, who won the ULM Fred Marx Invitational last week, fired a one-under 70 in the second round.
Three Bearkats are tied for fourth place. Senior Alisa White (72-74-146), junior Nicole Budnik (74-72-146) and freshman Sarah Black (74-72-146) are keeping the Kats near the top of the standings. Brooke Fouts (79-77-156) is tied for 38th after the first two rounds.
Missouri State and Arkansas State are tied for third and sit 13 strokes behind Sam Houston. Fellow Southland schools Stephen F. Austin in eighth, McNeese State in ninth and A&M-Corpus Christi in tenth.
