Black in 15th, Bearkats 12th through 36 holes

Sam Houston State fell back to 12th place after shooting 315 during the second round of the Little Rock Golf Classic for a two-day score of 619 at the par-72, 6,167-yard Diamonte Country Club in Hot Springs, Ark., on Monday.
After shooting 304 in their opening round Sunday, good enough for a 7th-place tie, the Bearkats sit 32 strokes back of leader Central Arkansas (587), who broke away from a day-one tie to remain 10 strokes up on second-place Oral Roberts through the opening 36 holes.
Sam Houston's Sarah Black, who entered the second day in 28th, fired a 2-over, 74, to move 13 spots up the leaderboard in a tie for 15th at 150. Jenna Phillips (75-78), the Bearkats number four golfer, is 29th after carding a 153.
Nicole Budnik (75-81-153) is tied for 42nd, Heather Shake (78-82-160) is in 68th and Celeste Lo (79-85-164) enters her final day tied for 77th. The field is tightly bunched in the middle with just four strokes separating the Bearkats and UTEP/Western Michigan (615) who are tied for ninth.
Trailing Central Arkansas (587) is Oral Roberts in second (597), followed by Houston Baptist (598), Missouri State (600), Little Rock (602), Wichita State (606), Eastern Michigan (608), Arkansas State (610), UTEP (615) and Western Michigan (615) round out the top 10.
The final round shotgun start gets underway at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Phillips and Black tee off on the 10th hole while Shake and Budnik start on the 11th and Lo at the 12th hole.
