
Bearkat women 7th in Seattle

The Sam Houston State women's golf team stands in 7th place after the first day of the Pat Lesse Harbottle Invitational in Seattle, Wash, on Monday.
The Bearkat shot a team score of 613 after 36 holes of golf. They trail the defending national champions Washington by 24 strokes heading into Tuesday's final round.
Gianti Mahardhika was the top scoring Bearkat, shooting rounds of 74 and 76, currently standing in 15th place at 6-over par. Hannah Alberto is 26th at 10-over, Heather Shake 30th (11-over), Jenna Phillips 38th (12-over) and Kari Bush 52nd (14-over).
The Bearkats opened the 15-team tournament with a team score of 307 and took a stroke off that in the second round of the day.
This is the fourth tournament of the fall season for the Bearkats, who have taken the team title in two of their first three events.
