Bearkat golfers finish 7th in Seattle

The Bearkat women's golfers finished strong at the Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational in Seattle on Tuesday, shooting a 294 and finishing 7^th in the 15-team tournament.

Heather Shake was the top scoring golfer for the Kats on Tuesday, shooting an even-par 72. Gianti Mahardhika was tops individually for the tournament, finishing in 15^th with a 74 on Tuesday and 8-over for the event.

On Monday the Bearkat shot a team score of 613 after 36 holes of golf. Mahardhika was the top scoring Bearkat, shooting rounds of 74 and 76.

Shake finished 24^th at 11-over par. Hannah Alberto was 27th at 12-over, Jenna Phillips 31st (14-over) and Kari Bush 67^nd (23-over).

The Bearkats opened the tournament Monday with a team score of 307 and took a stroke off that in the second round of the day.

This is the fourth tournament of the fall season for the Bearkats, who have taken the team title in two of their first three events.

They will be back in action Oct. 30 at the UALR Lady Trojan Classic.
