Kats, Alberto shoot low round of the day

The Sam Houston State women's golfer shot the top round of the day on Tuesday at the Little Rock Golf Classic to jump five places in the team standings.
The Kats shot a 294, highlighted by the individual low round of the day of 70 by Hannah Alberto to move SHSU to 5th overall. The Kats trail leaders Central Arkansas by 8 strokes heading into Wednesday's final round.
Alberto, who shot a 74 on Sunday, moved up 8 spots in the individual standings and now sits in third, two strokes back of the leaders, with 18 holes left to play.
Heather Shake and Jenna Phillips each shot a 74, putting Shake in a tie for 21st and Phillips in 38th. Gianti Mahardhika and Kari Bush are both tied for 51st at 13-over for the tournament.
Action will conclude on Wednesday from Diamante Country Club in Hot Springs Village, Ark.
