Kats, Cards Move Indoors Wednesday

Sam Houston's women's tennis match vs. Lamar in Beaumont Wednesday has been moved to the indoor courts at Beaumont Municipal Tennis Complex due to the threat of rain in the area. The match was originally scheduled to be played on campus at the Thompson Family Tennis Center.
The Bearkats are coming off a 5-2 victory over Incarnate Word Saturday in San Antonio, the squad's second Southland Conference dual match victory. Sam Houston stands 7-9 for the season and 2-5 in the league.
Lamar owns an 8-7 overall record and is 3-4 in Southland action. The Cards fell in a disappointing loss at league-leader Texas A&M-Corpus Christi last time out. LU is currently ninth in the league standings just a loss back of Northwestern State for the eighth and final playoff spot. Despite the setback at Corpus Christi, Big Red has won five of its last seven outings.
