Kats take 4th at Hobble Creek

On the final day of the Hobble Creek Fall Classic, the Sam Houston women's golf team moved up two spots to finish fourth at the second event of the season.
The Kats shot a 294, their best round of the tournament and the third-best round of the day. Sam Houston finished the three-round event with a score of 891, 25 shots behind winners New Mexico State.
Hanna Alberto led the way for Sam Houston, shooting a 70 to finish 3rd. She finished the tournament at 3-under par.
Jenna Phillips fired a final-round 72 to move up six places on the final day to finish in a tie for 16th at 10-over for the tournament.
The Bearkats will be back in action Oct. 2-3 when they host the Bearkat Women's Invitational at Raven Nest.
