SAN DIEGO - The Sam Houston men's golf team weren't able to make up any ground on the links on Tuesday, falling to a 16^th place finish at the Lamkin Grips San Diego Classic. The Bearkats shot a round of 294, which was their lowest of the tournament, but on a day where most teams were shooting under par, they fell four spots on the final day.

William Holcomb was the top finisher for the Kats, taking 21^st place, shooting even par for the tournament. An early eagle for Noah Steele helped him to a round of 72, the low of the final round for the Bearkats. He finished 44^th at 4-over for the tournament.

Ting-Wei Hsieh shot 12-over for the three rounds and was in 80^th place while Jack Randle and Luis Carerra each finished 86^th at 14-over.

The Kats will be back in action next week at the Louisiana Classics in Lafayette.
