
Kats eliminated from SBL Championship

The Sam Houston bowlers were eliminated from the Southland Bowling league championship on Sunday morning falling to Louisiana Tech.
The Kats were edged by 32 pins in the traditional team match. Bea Hernandez led the way for the Kats with a 229 game.
The Kats bounced back in the team baker match, winning by 31 pins. Denise Blankenzee had a huge game of 279 while Hernandez bowled a 238.
In the decisive best-of-7 match, the Kats pushed La Tech to the brink, before falling the Game 7 174-168.
Blankenzee, who was named the league's Bowler of the Year and Newcomer of the Year at the start of the tournament, closed it by being named to the All-Tournament team.
