Alberto shoots 79 on day 2 of NCAA Championship

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – With 36 holes in the books at the NCAA Championships, Hanna Alberto sits in a tie for 81^st after a round of 79 on Saturday.

She will begin the third round at Grayhawk Golf Club on Sunday at 2:25 p.m. trying to finish in the top nine individuals not on one of the top 15 advancing teams.

Alberto started her day on No. 10 and opened her round with six straight pars. After double bogey on No. 16 she birdied No. 17 for the second straight day.

After a par on No. 18, Alberto made the turn at 1-over for the round and 2-over of the championship. On Friday, she played the front nine at 1-over with a pair of birdies. However, on Saturday, the birdies were hard to come by.

She played her final nine holes at 7-over par closing her round with a bogey on No. 9. She sits at 8-over for the championship in the field of 132 golfers.
