Mens golf in 2nd after two rounds in Wisconsin

MADISON, Wis. – The Sam Houston men's golf team went under par for the second straight day at the Badger Invitational and sit in second place with one round remaining.

The Kats (-13, 563) fired a 283 and trail Illinois State (-17) by four strokes with 18 holes remaining. The host Wisconsin Badgers (-5) are third while Cincinnati (-2) and Iowa State (-1) round out the top 5.

Grayson Blunt shot the low round of the day, firing a 3-under 69. He's now 2-under for the tournament and joins a host of Bearkats in the top 10 of the individual leaderboard.

Jack Randle continues to pace the Kats. After an opening round 69, he followed with a 71 and is tied for fourth overall, three shots off the lead.

Joining Blunt in a tie for 10^th is Ting-Wei Hsieh and Chad Sewell. Hsieh shot a 71 while Sewell finished round 2 with a 70. Along with Blunt, they are 2-under for the tournament. Bret Gray shot a 74 on Monday and is tied for 20^th overall.

The final round will begin Tuesday at 9:50 a.m.
