Women’s golf places 11th at Tulsa tournament

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — The Sam Houston women's golf team placed 11^th at the Dale McNamara Invite hosted by Tulsa at the Cedar Ridge Country Club on Tuesday.

The Bearkats shot 307, 300 and 308 for a 20-over par 915 at the par-72, 6,302-yard course. Tulsa won the event with a 4-over 868 followed by Nebraska (869), South Florida (874), Sacramento State (886) and North Texas (886), UTSA (888), BYU (894) and James Madison (894), Kansas State (897) and Boise State (912).

Leah Alberto was the top individual finisher for Sam Houston. She tied for 40^th with rounds of 77, 74 and 77 for 12-over 228.

Jenn David tied for 42^nd with rounds of 73, 76 and 80 for a 13-over 229. Jennifer Herbst tied for 48^th with rounds of 77, 77 and 76 for a 14-over 230.

Viera Permata Rosada tied for 56^th with rounds of 80, 73 and 79 for a 16-over 232, and Anna Takahashi turned in rounds of 80, 87 and 76 to tie for 72^nd at 27-over 243.
