Men’s golf signs standout from Thailand

HUNTSVILLE — Sam Houston men's head golf coach Brandt Kieschnick has added a standout junior golfer from Thailand for the 2023-24 season.

Kittada "Force" Kosalutta has signed a letter of intent to play for the Bearkats. The Chonburi, Thailand native won the prestigious 2022 International Junior Masters Championship as well as various junior events in his home country.

"We are extremely excited to bring Force to Bearkat golf," Kieschnick said. "Signing Force is a great testament to the success of our program these past years, and he will help us continue that tradition. I really enjoyed watching him play this summer, and he's got a game that leads to high-level golf. Force is very mature and has a game that possesses power and accuracy along with great touch around the greens.Â

"I love that he has played in numerous professional golf tournaments and made the cut which shows his maturity on the golf course against the pros We can't wait to get him on campus in August and look forward to him helping us win championships."

Kosalutta won the 2022 TJGGA Open Championship in Thailand with rounds of 72, 74 and 69. He competed in the biggest professional event in Thailand at 23rd Singha Thailand Masters in 2022 and made the cut firing rounds of 73, 69, 73 and 80.

He also competed in the 50th Thailand Open in 2022 on the Thailand Professional Golf Tour and missed the cut with rounds of 80 and 68 as well tying for 39th at 2022 IMG Junior World Championship with rounds of 76, 70, 77 and 75.
