Women's golf takes 4th at UNF Collegiate

The Bearkats placed three golfers in the top 20 and the team took 4^th place at the UNF Collegiate in Jacksonville Florida.

Jennifer Herbst led the way for the Kats, shooting 1-under for the tournament after a 71 on Tuesday. She finished in a tie for seventh overall. Her day included three birdies and an eagle. She was one of 11 golfers in the 90 player field to shoot under par on for the final round.

Zulaikah Nasser just missed out on the top 10, shooting 2-over for the tournament and taking 11ith overall. She shot a final round 73.

Leah Alberto was the mover for the Kats on Tuesday. Her final round of 70 moved her up 17 spots in the final individual standings to take 19^th overall. Her round was the low round of the day for the Bearkats.

Viera Permata Rosada was 49^th overall at 13-over while Anna Takahashi finished 76^th at 20-over.

As a team the Bearkats shot their best round of the tournament, firing a 291, improving on their second round score by 8 shots. They finished 17 shots behind the winning team from UNF while No. 46 Furman was second (+7) and No. 49 North Texas (+10) was third.

The Kats will be right back in action next week when they will play in the HBU Husky Invitational at Riverbend Country Club in Sugar Land.
