Kats eliminated from NCAA Regionals

ARLINGTON – The Bearkats run at the NCAA championships came to an end on Friday, dropping two matches on the opening day of the NCAA Arlington Regional.
The Bearkats, the top seed in the regional and No. 4 overall, started the day with a loss in two sets against SFA. Denise Blankenzee led the way for the Bearkats with a 201 average, followed by Syasya Ismail who bowled a 200.
The Kats lost the traditional team set 1054-938.
In the elimination match against La Tech, the Kats once again fell in two sets to their Southland rivals. Elise Chambers had the big game for the Kats with a 246 followed by Bea Hernandez's 231.
The Lady Techsters won the traditional team set 1103-1020.
The Kats will have one more competition this season when they head to Chicago for the ITC., which will be held at Addison's Stardust Bowl from April 20-23
