David places 8th at Tulsa tournament

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Jenn David finished eighth to lead the Sam Houston women's golf team at the Dale McNamara Invitational hosted by Tulsa on Monday and Tuesday at the Golf Club of Oklahoma.
David fired rounds of 70, 68, 76 for a 2-under 214 on the par-72, 6,246-yard course. Jennifer Herbst closed with a 71 to go along with rounds of 77 and 70 to tied for 20th at 2-over 218.
Amelia Guo (76-74-76) and Zulaikah Nasser (74-74-76) both tied for 44th at 8-over 224. Cari Denson (75-77-74) and Viera Permata Rosada (80-74-72) tied for 52nd at 10-over 226.
The Bearkats placed seventh out of 14 teams with a 12-over 876. Tulsa (856) was first followed by South Florida (858), UTSA (860), Colorado State (862), Nebraska (870) and Kennesaw State (874).
