Gray ties for 11th at Norman Regional

NORMAN, Okla. — Sam Houston sophomore Bret Gray finished tied for 11th at the NCAA Norman Regional at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club on Wednesday.

Gray closed the tournament with a 2-under 70 at the par-72, 7,452-yard course to wrap up his season. He shot 71 on Monday and 69 on Tuesday to finish at 6-under 210.

Gray had four birdies on holes No. 3, 5, 6 and 16, but a double bogey on the par-4 fourth hole cost him two strokes. For the tournament he had 12 birdies, 38 pars, two double bogeys and two bogeys.
