Jin named CUSA Golfer of the Week

DALLAS – Sam Houston's Grace Jin was named the Conference USA Golfer of the Week on Wednesday, per a release from league officials. Â
Jin earned her third top-10 finish in four starts this season last week at The Ally, hosted by Mississippi State, finishing tied for seventh place at -3 for the week. She shot 71-72-70, moving up eight spots in the individual standings with her final round. Jin totaled 10 birdies during the 54-hole event, five coming in the final round. Â
It is the second time this season Jin has earned a weekly honor from the league, the first coming after her win at the REMAX Prime Properties Bearkat Invitational in September. Â
Jin and the Bearkats finished sixth among 16 teams at The Ally, which was the final tournament of the fall portion of the 2024-25 season. The Kats will next be back in action on February 23-24 when they travel to Peoria, Ariz., to take part in the Westbrook Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin.
