Jin named CUSA Golfer of the Week

DALLAS – Sam Houston's Grace Jin was named the Conference USA Golfer of the Week on Wednesday, per a release from league officials.
Jin earned her third top-10 finish in four starts this season last week at The Ally, hosted by Mississippi State, finishing tied for seventh place at -3 for the week. She shot 71-72-70, moving up eight spots in the individual standings with her final round. Jin totaled 10 birdies during the 54-hole event, five coming in the final round.
It is the second time this season Jin has earned a weekly honor from the league, the first coming after her win at the REMAX Prime Properties Bearkat Invitational in September.
Jin and the Bearkats finished sixth among 16 teams at The Ally, which was the final tournament of the fall portion of the 2024-25 season. The Kats will next be back in action on February 23-24 when they travel to Peoria, Ariz., to take part in the Westbrook Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin.
