
Women’s Golf finishes 10th at Westbrook Invitational

PEORIA, Ariz. – Jennifer Herbst and Jenn David each finished at seven-under par for the week and the Sam Houston women's golf team finished 10th on the final day of the Westbrook Invitational at Westbrook Village Golf Club on Monday.Â
Herbst fired a final-round 68, her second of the tournament, to finish with a three-round score of 209, a mark tied for 18th individually. One of the players she was tied with was David, who finished the week with a total of 209 after firing 67-71-71 for the 54-hole event. Â
Other finishers for the Kats included Zulaikah Nasser (73-70-74) in a tie for 52nd, and both Viera Permata Rosata (74-72-72) and Grace Jin (71-71-76) each in a tie for 57th. Â
Second-round leader Kansas took home the team trophy, finishing at –43, while Wisconsin's Chloe Chan fired a final-round 65 for a one-stroke individual win at –14.Â
Sam Houston will next trek to Jacksonville, Fla., to take place in the UNF Collegiate, beginning March 4 at the Jacksonville Golf & Country Club.
