MIAMI – The Sam Houston Bearkats will be looking for a sunny finish to the road slate of the 2024 schedule when they take on FIU in a weekend series beginning Friday at the FIU Baseball Stadium. Â

Each game of the weekend will be aired on ESPN+ and can be followed on Statbroadcast. Â

SERIES NOTES vs FIUÂ
- The weekend will mark the first-ever meeting on the diamond between Sam Houston and FIU.Â

- FIU is the final of 6 first-time opponents for the Kats this season. Others include Dartmouth, Liberty, New Mexico, WKU and Middle Tennessee. The Kats are 9-5 this season against first-time opponents entering the weekend.Â

- Sam Houston will be looking for its fourth weekend series win on the road this season, and first in CUSA play since opening by winning 2 of 3 at NM State. The Kats also have road series wins at Texas State and New Mexico in 2024.Â
