HUNTSVILLE – The Sam Houston Bearkats will continue its 9-game homestand with three games this weekend vs NM State, beginning Friday at Don Sanders Stadium.
Each game can be followed via Statbroadcast or by following @BearkatsBSB on Instagram and X.
Sam Houston will be trying to put an end to a 6-game losing skid and jump back into the Conference USA race after dropping five of their first six in league play.
The Kats will stick with the same rotation this weekend with sophomore righties Noah Kendrick and Ryan Peterson scheduled to start the first two games of the series. Sam Houston comes in having faced NM State seven times previously and holding a 4-3 lead in all-time meetings after winning two of three in Las Cruces a year ago.
NM State won its league-opening series at Liberty before avoiding being swept last weekend against No. 17 Dallas Baptist by winning Sunday's series finale and two wins over ranked opponents this year, marking only the fifth time in program history they have multiple ranked victories.
