HUNTSVILLE — Sam Houston hosts Middle Tennessee in a three-game Conference USA series this weekend at the Bearkat Softball Complex.Â
The Bearkats (21-15, 6-3 CUSA) faced Middle Tennessee (13-16, 3-6 CUSA) last season, dropping the road series 2-1. Sam Houston looks to bounce back this weekend with a home-field advantage. The Bearkats hold a 4-2 record in the all-time series, which began in 2024.Â
Veronica Harrison leads the Bearkats with 13 home runs, tying the program's single-season record. She also paces the team with 35 RBIs and a .806 slugging percentage and will look to break the record during the series.Â
Freshman Sophia Lundstrom leads the team with a .421 batting average, along with 51 hits and 10 doubles.Â
First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, followed by a 3 p.m. game Saturday and an 11 a.m. finale Sunday. All games will be streamed on ESPN+.
