HUNTSVILLE — The Bearkats continue Conference USA play this weekend with a three-game series against Missouri State at the Bearkat Softball Complex.Â
Sam Houston (25-18, 9-6 CUSA) first met Missouri State (17-20, 5-10 CUSA) in 1990 and holds a 4-3 advantage in the all-time series. The teams last faced off in 2012, when the Bearkats fell 7-2. This marks Missouri State's first season in Conference USA, and Sam Houston looks to strengthen its position in the standings, currently sitting fourth.Â
The Bearkats are coming off a 7-6 midweek victory over Stephen F. Austin. Sam Houston has won every conference series this season except for last weekend's matchup against Western Kentucky.Â
Veronica Harrison set the program's single-season home run record with 14 and continues to add to her total. In the circle, Tiffany Sanchez and Kendall Daniel have each earned Conference USA Pitcher of the Week honors this season, providing consistency for the Bearkats' pitching staff.Â
First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, April 10. The series continues at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 11, and concludes at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, April 12. Game times are subject to change due to weather.Â
