Summary

Biography

Rebecca Pittser, a transfer from McKendree University in Lebanon, Ill.,begins her senior season at Sam Houston and after another successful summer.

Becca participated in this past summer’s Junior Gold National Championship which is a Junior Team USA qualifier.  Becca competed against another-record setting field of nearly 700 young ladies where she finished in the top 45 amongst this nation’s finest athletes for the second straight summer.

"Becca is a great diamond in the rough," SHSU head coach Brad Hagen said. "All of her hard work, dedication, and will really paid off for her in her second season of NCAA competition. She made big impact live on ESPN where her season utility roll was impeccable and the world learned about her abilities to do what we spent all season defining. Becca has a lot of motivation and momentum working in her favor coming in to this season and that’s exactly the fire one needs to continue to have to be successful."

Pittser continues to excel with her academic interest being in bio-science at Sam Houston which paid off for her by earning NTCA Academic All American Honors in her first season of play.

Becca’s best tournament of the year came at a perfect time at the UCM NCAA Invitational hosted by Central Missouri where she posted a 201.00 average to assist the Bearkats in a must survive weekend event as it weighted highly toward post season play.
