Made Bearkat debut by throwing a shutout inning with 2 strikeouts out of the bullpen vs Rhode Island (2/19) … threw a 1.1-inning scoreless appearance out of the bullpen vs Illinois (3/5) … grabbed first win of the season against Houston where he threw 5.0 innings of 1-run ball with 5 strikeouts (3/28) … got another win vs UTSA (5/2) by tossing 7.0 innings, allowing just 1 earned run … struck out a career-high 7 batters in 5.0 innings in the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional vs Oregon State (6/4)

Was one of the best left-handed pitchers in the Texas/New Mexico junior college class and was named First Team Academic All-American at Odessa College for his excellence in the classroom ... had a good freshman campaign for head coach Kurtis Lay at Odessa College where he threw 59.2 innings with 55 strikeouts as a conference starter in 2021 ... he was also a member of the TX/NM Juco All-Star Game in the Fall of 2021 ... threw 42.1 innings over 8 games in 2022, posting a 1-2 record with a 3.83 ERA and 38 strikeouts
