Appeared in 39 games, making 38 starts at shortstop … batted .220 with 22 hits, one double, a triple and eight RBIs … tied for second on the team with five home runs … was third on the team in slugging percentage at .400 … was 4 for 4 on stolen base attempts … was second on the team with 79 assists … went 3 for 3 with a triple and a home run against Lamar on 2/26 … went 3 for 3 with a home run against Incarnate Word on 5/7.
2020 Season
Played in 17 games for the Bearkats, starting in 11 … hit .321 with nine hits, seven runs and had two RBI … in a three-way tie for first on the team with two home runs … had a perfect fielding percentage of 1.000 with 53 putouts … had a career high 12 putouts against Louisiana Tech on March 1.
High School
Telg was a four-year starter as an infielder/outfielder for coach Wendy Weiss at Caldwell High School … hit .436 as a senior with eight home runs, eight doubles, three triples, 25 RBI and 20 stolen bases to lead the Hornets to the bi-district round of the playoffs and earn district offensive MVP and All-Brazos Valley honors … racked up 41 hits and launched nine home runs as a junior to hit .512 and earn district MVP and All-Brazos Valley Honors … guided the Hornets to the playoffs her sophomore and junior seasons and led the squad to the regional finals as a freshman when she received district Newcomer of the Year and All-Brazos Valley recognition.
