Lisa MacAllister is a junior college transfer from Trinity Valley Community College who joined the Bearkats on there inaugural journey last season.  At Trinity Valley C.C. MacAllister was an academic standout  and was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society.  Lisa has continued to turn heads with her academic achievements while representing SHSU very  respectively.  Lisa earned Co-NTCA Academic All American Honoree honors last season for the first time in the Bearkats History.  Lisa also holds the highest GPA on the team and one of only a handful of student athletes currently who has an overall p.g.a of a 4.0 in Bearkat Athletics.  

"Lisa has continued to provide this team with all the right attributes that made her stand out a Trinity Valley and now as a Bearkat," SHSU head coach Brad Hagen said. "Lisa has matured, improved and developed into a player who is fearless when facing a challenge. She has provided the team with some key pins which ultimately affected the final outcome. What she lacks in experience, she has made up for with maturity, poise and determination which at times has been the key note to our success." 

Lisa finished the season averaging 190.42 for 19 games and contributed some major sticks in time of need.  Her best tournament of the inaugural season was at the current NCAA National Champions host tournament the Hawk Classic Hosted by UMES where she finished 7^th overall.
