LITTLE ROCK, AR -- The Sam Houston State men's golf team placed seventh at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock Intercollegiate tournament Monday and Tuesday.
The Bearkats completed 54 holes with a 295-290-308 -- 893 total.
Lamar University won the team trophy with a 299-293-287 -- 879 score. Host UALR was second at 882 followed by Southeastern Louisiana with a 885 total.
Gideon Pienaar of Central Arkansas won the individual medalist championship with a 70-71-71--212 score.
Sam Houston State finishes included Scott Kelly 16th 72-73-77--222, Fergal Rafferty 23rd 74-71-79--224, John Hurley 39th 78-73-76--227, Casey Nelson 39th 76-75-76--227 and Beau Willis 56th 73-73-85--231.
