LAFAYETTE, La. - The Sam Houston men's golf team finished 13^th at the Louisiana Classics on Tuesday at Oakbourne Country Club.

The Bearkats shot a round of 292 on Tuesday and finished the tournament at 10-over par. They opened the tournament on Monday with a pair of 291 rounds.

Chad Sewell was the top finisher for the Kats. He fired a team low round of 70 on Tuesday and finished even par for the tournament. Sewell's round included four birdies. It was his second straight round of 70 after an opening round 76. He finished 4-over and in 27^th place.

Grayson Blunt shot an even par day of 72 and finished 38^th overall. Gene Chaikangwal was 41^st on the individual leaderboard at 3-over for the tournament after a 75 on Tuesday. Josh German also shot a 75 and finished 48^th at 5-over. Bret Gray rounded out the scoring for the Kats with a 78 and he finished in a tie for 84^th.

The Kats are back in action next week when they head to Houston for The All-American at Golf Club of Houston.
