HUNTSVILLE — The Sam Houston tennis team lost to Rice 6-0 on Sunday at the McAdams Tennis Center.
The Bearkats'
Andjela Vidovic was leading Federica Trevisan 7-6 at No. 1 singles when the match was called after Rice clinched the victory.
The Owls (7-3) won the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No.3.
Anna Bowtell defeated
Isidora Zivkovic 6-0, 6-2 at No. 4 singles, Saara Orav topped
Petra Kaszas 6-0, 6-2 at No. 6 and Maria Budin stopped
Sunskrithi Damera in the No. 5 spot 6-1, 6-0 to seal the dual match victory.
Lusine Chobanyan lost her No. 3 singles match to Allison Zipoli 6-2, 6-1, and
Sahithi Vutukuru fell to Anastasia Smirnova 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2.
Sam Houston (4-6) will host Stephen F. Austin on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
