Men's golf finishes 14th in San Diego

The Sam Houston men's golf team took 14^th place at the Lamkin Grips SD Classic on Tuesday at the San Diego Country Club in Chula Vista, Calif.

The Kats finished at 12-over for the tournament following a 299 team round on Tuesday.

Chad Sewell was the top finisher for the Kats, finishing 1-under for the tournament and tied for 28^th overall. He shot an even par round of 72 on Tuesday.

Grayson Blunt was also even par for the day and finished at 6-over for the tournament. Josh German finished a stroke back of Sewell, shooting even for the three rounds after a 76 on Tuesday.

Jack Randle finished 9-over while Ting-Wei Hsieh was 12-over.

The Kats will be back in action next week for the Louisiana Classic at Oakbourne Country Club in Lafayette, La.
