All 8 bowlers make academic squad

Success on the lanes has always been important to bowling coach Brad Hagen. But when looking for a future Bearkat, the ability to succeed in the classroom has always been just as important.

That was never more evident than this season with all eight members of the team being named to the Southland Bowling League All-Academic team. It is the first time in program history every member of the squad has been recognized for academic success.

"We have always put an emphasis on the academic side of being a student athlete, and over the years I think that has shown," Hagen said. "But to have everyone on the team recognized is a first for our program. I am extremely proud of everything they accomplished this season."

The Bearkats finished the season ranked No. 5 in the country by the NTCA after advancing to the NCAA Regionals, the program's 10^th NCAA postseason.
