NEW ORLEANS — The Sam Houston women's golf team shot even par on day two to place ninth at the Green Wave Fall Classic at the Bayou Oaks at City Park south course on Tuesday.

The Bearkats turned finished the tournament with rounds of 289 and 288 for a three-round total of 6-over par 870. LSU made a charge Tuesday to place first at 32-under 832 followed by Nebraska (835), Tulsa (838), Tulane (854), Incarnate Word (855), South Florida (857) and Central Arkansas (69).

Zulaikah Nasser was the top individual finisher for the Bearkats. She finished tied for 22^nd with rounds of 72-72-70 for a total of 2-under 214.

Jennifer Herbst finished the tournament with two rounds of 1-under 70 to tie for 31^st with a total of 1-over 217. Leah Alberto also improved Tuesday with rounds of 72 and 73 to finish tied for 43^rd with a total of 4-over 220.

Jenn David closed the tournament with rounds of 75 for a total of 5-over 221 to tied for 46^th. Viera Permata Rosada placed 69^th with a three-round total of 13-over 229.
