HUNTSVILLE — The Sam Houston women's golf team repeated as the Remax Prime Properties Bearkat Invitational champions following the conclusion of the second round on Tuesday at Elkins Lake Country Club.

The Bearkats ran away from the field by 22 strokes after shooting rounds of 288 for a total of 8-over 576. Stetson was second at 598 followed by UT Arlington (606), Tarleton (607),
Texas A&M-Commerce (610), Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (617), Stephen F. Austin (621), Lamar (630), McLennan Community College (653) and Texas Southern (665).

Zulaikah Nasser placed second overall in the individual standings with rounds of 71 and 72 for a 1-over 143 on the par-71, 5,959-yard course. Jennifer Herbst (73, 71) and Viera Permata Rosada (72, 72) tied for third at 2-over 144.

Jenn David finished tied for sixth following rounds of 72 and 73 for a total of 3-over 145. Amelia Guo was close behind in a tie for 10^th with rounds of 78 and 71 for a total of 7-over 149 which was the same as Gracie Heinle after rounds of 74 and 75.

Cari Denson placed 25^th with rounds of 77 and 76 for a total of 11-over 153.
