COLLEGE STATION – The Sam Houston State women's golf team finished seventh in the "Mo" Morial Invitational at the Traditional Golf Club on Tuesday.

The 54-hole tournament, hosted by Texas A&M, saw the Bearkats finish at 66-over par for the week, being just three places behind 32nd-ranked Baylor. The hosts Texas A&M took the team tournament title with a huge gap over the others shooting 16-over, while Northern Colorado finished second at 54-over.

Amelia Guo was the lowest scorer for the Kats this week shooting 73-83-67 with seven birdies and five under in her final round, placing her 5th overall. Grace Jin was next for the Kats in 7th shooting 11-over with a scorecard of 74-77-75.

Other finishes include Gracie Heinle in 35th (79-76-82), Victoria Renzi in 50th, (82-84-77), and Julia Sosa in 77th, (87-86-92). Cari Denson finished 67th as an individual shooting 78-80-93.

The Bearkats next week competes in St. Augustine, Florida for the 2025 Women's Golf Championships at the World Golf Village. This three-day tournament will begin April 14.
