LUBBOCK – The Sam Houston women's golf team will go into the final day of the Red Raider Invitational tied for eighth at 31 over par after 36 holes of play at the Rawls Course.
 
The Bearkats shot +17 in round one and +14 to cap off the day. Francesca Sumcad leads the Kats and is tied for fourth after finishing even on the day with 70-74. Amelia Guo shot 76 in the first round and later evened out with 72 in the second.
 
Bomyeong Lee had three birdies in the second round to fire off 82-75. Gracie Heinle and Shanna Sandoval finished with +18 and tied for 74th. Heinle shot matching rounds of 81, while Sandoval shot 78-84 heading into the final round of play.
 
Play for the final round of the Red Raider Invitational is set to begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday. Live scoring can be followed on Scoreboard by Clippd.
